“The Health Tech Prep program helped to solidify my career path. I have always wanted to be a nurse. The Health Technologies program provided opportunities to explore this career path through hands-on experiences in a nursing home, hospital and clinic rotations, health fairs and community service projects. My work ethic was recognized by a local certified nurse practitioner/midwife. A part-time job was offered to me during my rotation on the Labor and Delivery Unit. These experiences helped to narrow my nursing focus towards maternal/newborn, NICU and pediatric nursing.”
